Primary School of Agia Paraskevi
The old Primary School was founded in the 1770s-1780s, during the 4th missionary tour of Kosmas the Aetolian in Epirus, when he visited Kerasovo. Until 1913 and the liberation of Epirus from the Turks, it operated as a community school. From 1914 onwards it operated as a public primary school, with an interruption in 1917-1918 due to World War I. It operated as a single-class until 1918, in 1919 as a two-class, in 1920 as a three-class, in 1935 as a four-class and later as a six-class. Before it was declared a public school, the teachers were paid by the Community, the church fund and any wealthy Kerasovoes. In 1937, due to the large number of students (300 in number), the community, with its own resources, began the construction of the new school. The current building was completed in 1952, when it started to operate as a primary school. It was finally closed down in 1997, due to lack of children.
