Monastery of Agioi Anargyri, Kleidonia

The monastery of Agioi Anargyri, built in 1658 is located at a walking distance of one and a half hour from the bridge of Kledoniavista, near the main path that crosses the gorge. Today, only the monastery’s catholicon is preserved, surrounded by ruins, with an elaborate iconostasis and beautiful frescoes. The monastery has been classified as a historical monument. On the day of the feast of Saints Kosmas & Damianos (July 1), a church service is held and a picturesque traditional feast follows on the banks of the Voidomatis river, under the agelong plane trees.
